Resurrection Sunday

“By Your Spirit I Will Rise, From the Ashes of Defeat. The Resurrected King is Resurrecting Me. In Your Name I Come Alive, To Declare Your Victory. The Resurrected King is Resurrecting Me.”

I cried and cried listening to this song, this Easter Sunday. You see life for me has not been easy. Life has been hard. My very existence was hard, hard to my mother who had me out of wedlock while off to school pursuing her dreams, cutting off her dreams at the time. Hard to my family who had placed all bets on my mother to shift the legacy of my family. Hard to me. Don’t get me wrong, despite all of this, I was tremendously loved, incredibly loved; that doesn’t take away from me though that my coming into the world was hard before life for me was hard.

Life has given me an array of feelings. I have felt broken, I have been hurt. I have felt abandoned, I have felt betrayed. I have inflicted brokenness. I hurt others, profoundly. I have abandoned others. I have betrayed others.

2 Corinthians 12: 9: But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Life has been filled with obstacles, roadblocks, rock bottoms: I have been financially struggling, severely depressed, heartbroken, emotionally bankrupt. While it is very easy to see now the beautiful home, the travels, the materialistic things, the flourishing career & life, the reality is what is often not seen have been the difficult times, the hurt, the emotional breakdowns, the therapy sessions, the breakdowns on the side of the road, the divorce, the suicidal thoughts. For all intents and purposes, life killed me, numerous times. I died. My hope died. My yearning for better died. And yet, despite it all, HERE I AM STILL STANDING.

Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

I am standing, looking vibrant, cheerful, youthful, with no evidence of scars of the wounds I had, and I stand for one reason and one reason only: God. Had it not been for God, His unwavering love of me. His unconditional love of me. His never failing love of me. I would not be standing. God revived the dead things within me. God resurrected me. And His resurrection of me made me stronger, made me better, made me more resilient.

God took the most imperfect person: ME, and revived me by resuscitating my passions, resuscitating my gifts, resuscitating my talents, resuscitating my identity, resuscitating my hope for the future, resuscitating my life for myself. God restored me. Everything I have and everything I am is only because of Jehovah God. Everything I am and have become is only because of Christ Jesus, His Love for Me, and His Plans for My Life. I continue to lean on Him, on His Shield, even when I don’t understand things, I know that God’s plans and vision for my life is and will always be greater than any plan I can envision my life. I trust Him, I thank Him, I have faith in Him.

John 11: 43-46: When he had said these things, he cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out.” The man who had died came out, his hands and feet bound with linen strips, and his face wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Unbind him, and let him go.” Many of the Jews therefore, who had come with Mary and had seen what he did, believed in him, but some of them went to the Pharisees and told them what Jesus had done.

Stay the Course, Have Faith, Stay Close to God, Discern His Voice in Your Life, God will Sustain You,

” The tomb where soldiers watched in vain, was borrowed for three days, His body there would not remain. Our God Has Robbed the Grave.”

And on that first Easter Sunday morning, the question resounding throughout history was—“Why do you look for the living among the dead?” Know that God continues to breathe life among all the things you thought were dead.

Know that, in the same way, God arose from the dead, He is Resurrecting You from every dead thing in your life: your relationships, your career, love, community, dreams, goals, the list can go on and on. Your Vision is Not Dead, God is Resurrecting Your Vision, God is Resurrecting Your Talents, God is Resurrecting Your Gifts, God is Resurrecting Your Hope. God is Resurrecting Love in Your Life. God is Resurrecting Abundance and Prosperity. God is Resurrecting Your Health. God is Resurrecting Your Growth, Your Development.

You’re Not Dead, I Am Resurrecting You.

– God

You’re Not Dead, God is Resurrecting You. Today is all about hope, hope for new beginnings, hope for the resurrection God has coming for you.

Your Name is Victory God, All Praise Will Rise to Christ is King

Acts 26: 8: Why is it considered incredible among you people if God does raise the dead?
